Responsible for the managing a staff of three (hiring, firing, and salary administration), design and implementation of the infrastructure and systems required to meet the computing need of the corporation. The environment was a 100+ node network using multiple Windows NT servers. Management responsibilities include managing a +250K annual hardware budget, user training, help desk, technical services and serving on several core teams working on future software projects. Environment was SQL Server 6.5 client server system used to support production activities and the migration from Dynamics to Platinum Technologies financial system based upon SQL Server 7.0. Task evolved into managing this system, performing DBCC’s, server configuration, tuning, device management and scripting.
